Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Great experience all around including service, atmosphere, and most importantly... FOOD! Our table had pesto pasta, Eggplant Rollatini, spaghetti with a very clean marinara sauce, ceasar salad, and a hearty white bean soup. It was clear from the 1st bite that the proprietors take great pride in quality ingredients, preparation, and presentation. Olive Garden, Brios, Macaroni Grill, Fogedabout it... Try Pizza Mia, for authentic Italian cuisine just like Nona used to make.

Management here is a complete embarrassment. I order a pizza for delivery. They said they'll call me back in a couple minutes with a price. Next thing I know, a $33 pizza shows up at my door! When I called to complain, the owner was an absolute jerk. I will never step foot in this restaurant ever again, and I would encourage everyone else to do the same.

I bought some gift certificates on restaurant.com and this was one of our options. Since it was close to home we figured we would give it a try. The service was pretty good. Our server was Rogan and he was very polite and check up on us every 5 minutes or so. The owner/manager seemed to walk from table to table greeting customers which is always a big plus for me and it made it seem like a mom and pop restaurant. The food was pretty good. The best thing was the homemade mozzarella sticks! Delicious! It was my first time eating them homemade and they were very good. I ordered shrimp scampi and the girlfriend ordered some sort of argentine steak and sausage trio. There were a few occasions that menu items were not available which is not good. Server offered delicious home made flan to us then came back and said they didn't have any! Bummer! Overall the place was pretty good

Absolute worst pizza restaurant I've ever eaten in. After waiting an hour and a half for two sub par pizzas the owner came out and became obnoxious and rude when we complained about the wait. Their pat line was, our pizzas are made to order". Now think about it! At any pizza place in town you can watch the cook throw the Dow spread the sauce and add the ingredients. Then the pizza goes in the oven, 20 mins later the complete pizza is on the table. Not here everything is done in a non visible kitchen and a pizza takes 1.5 hours. Also the calamari was not good. As a final note I noticed that the pizza to go boxes were stored in the men's room in close proximity to the urinals.

My go to for good pizza in the area. LOVE the brick oven pizzas, the garlic knots, and the Greek Salad. We have dined in several times, and ordered pizza to go as well, every experience has been pleasant and we find the staff to be very friendly. They offer various coupons on the take out menu, always a plus.

We have been trying to find a way to get rid of some restaurant.com gift certificates we have, so when I saw the yelp reviews for this Pizza Mia I was pretty excited. I was pleasently surprised when we walked in, the place was nice and bright, a big display in the front with pizza by the slice and empanadas (still a bit confused on the combining of italian and argentinean food but thats ok) and lots of other patrons eating. It took us a while to order because the menu is huge! Definitely 3/4 of it is devoted to italian food, so they'll have all of your favorites, and 1/4 devoted to argentinean dishes. We ended up with a cheese pizza, which was surprisingly good - I had the pasta with artichokes and mushrooms in a pink sauce and writing this is making me hungry, I probabably could have licked the plate. The bf got pasta with sausage and brocolli rabe. His sister got penne ala vodka and his mother got the grilled chicken with sauted veggies. I didn't try either of theirs but the chicken and veggies looked good. Oh, the bf also had an empanada (beef) which was flaky and tasty. Going back I would definitely try the argentinean pizza made with chick pea flour, it at least sounds healthy to me lol. Also would get the baked ziti pizza, this didnt come by the slice and it looked as though large was the only size so I wasn't able to get it on this visit, but baked ziti pizza is one of my favorite and hard to find in florida!

I went here with a group of 7 and I must admit...It was probably one of the worst dining experiences ever. #1. The food takes forever to come out and when you receive it, it lacks any and all flavor. I find eating a hot pocket more enjoyable then eating here. #2. The owner is very rude and obnoxious. He was upset that some of our people in the group wanted to split their checks. Your getting our money regardless of the checks being split...you should grateful and less of a dick. #3. This restaurant is essentially the same shitty pizza place that was in the CVS Plaza. It was funny because when we went we noticed that they were using their old menus. #4. The food is overpriced as shit. Some pasta dishes were $20-30+. This isn't Miami and your food quality is lacking. Change your pricing or add flavor to your food. An okay restaurant can have a shitty owner and great food. A great restaurant has great food and ownership. There is nothing great about this place. I think Gordon Ramsey should visit this place but methinks it might be pointless.

Service can be an issue. We have been through multiple servers since they have been open. We recently had a good guy. The food ha been consistent. Usually get pizza, but occasionally we do get meals. They also do a decent take out.

I came here when it wasn't busy, so that may be why I didnt have the service issues everyone else had. I had the deep fried calzone and I was in heaven. My server was like a mom, doting on me and bragging about the food. It was actually a bit weird. However that calzone was one of the nest deep fried things I've ever eaten. And yes they really do store pizza boxes near the mens room. I will definitely come here again when they're slow but I will avoid take out until they find somewhere else for pizza boxes.

We've been living about a mile away from this nice little restaurant for over a year and have been hesitant in trying it - primarily because our favorite pizza is just a few hundred yards away. I was really just afraid of wasting money on sub-par pizza so we never tried it. Pizza Mia is on restaurant.com and we had some credits to use. So, my wife and I agreed to give it a try. It's a nice, clean bright place. It was pretty empty - one other table besides our party of 8. There was only 1 waiter so it's a good thing it wasn't very busy. It didn't exactly give us warm and fuzzies seeing the place empty, but we did read views which were pretty positive overall. So, we were remaining optimistic. The waiter, who's name I didn't get, was very good. He was smiling, very personable and did a great job. They were out of a couple of things - I wanted unsweet tea but they didn't have any splenda, sweet n low or Equal. Their WiFi was out of service which kind of bummed the kids a bit. That wasn't their fault, though - there was apparently a fire on one of the electrical lines on the telephone poles behind them. I'll get right to the dinner - I wasn't disappointed. We ordered one large cheese pizza, a large Siciliano Pizza (eggplant, basil, tomato and mozzarella) and a rigatoni a la vodka. The crust was beautiful - crispy and delicious. The tomatoes were nice, the mozzarella creamy and the eggplant tasty. Overall, the pizza gets high marks from me - and that is saying something, because I'm a pizza snob. It's different from John the Baker, which has always been my favorite. I'd say this pizza comes in a close second on my favorite list. The a la vodka was nice. It had a mild flavor. I'd have preferred a little more boldness in it, but it was still quite tasty. I'd have it again if I wasn't going to get the pizza. Let's talk about the garlic rolls! Look, as far as I'm concerned, it's VERY hard to be better than John the Baker's garlic rolls. They will always be my favorite. These were REALLY good, though. They are made a little differently and have some crunch to them. I enjoyed Pizza Mia quite a bit. I'll had to try it on a night when they are busier, though, as I would like to see how the service is when the place is full.

Decided to give this place a try today, despite the negative reviews we read. We were not disappointed! Let me start with the garlic knots.. They were phenomenal! The garlicky flavor is not just an oily topping like many places, it is actually infused throughout the roll. I don't know how they do it, but they were so soft, fluffy and delicious. We also had mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, and they were pretty good. They were definitely home made, and the marinara sauce was very good also. We had a large margherita pizza with pepperoni on half. The pizza was amazing. It was thin crust, although it wasn't as crispy toward the center of the pizza, it was still very good. Some yelpers had negative experiences with the service, but we had no problem at all. The waitress was very helpful and attentive. We will definitely return !

Being a New Yorker I'm very particular about my pizza and Pizza Mia delivers the best pizza outside of New York. The ingredients are fresh, the restaurant is clean and the wait staff is friendly. The prices are great as well. Also their chicken parm sub is phenomenal. If you love great pizza I strongly recommend that you visit Pizza Mia.

I really liked this place. I liked the atmosphere it presented and its quaintness. Mind you the first time I entered this restaurant was during the Holiday season. They had it decorated very nice. It was quiet, and their pizza sauce tasted FRESH! Love homemade pizza sauce vs canned stuff (which a lot of places use!) They have it advertised on their window that on Tuesdays you can order out a cheese pizza for $6.99. I will definitely be taking them up on that offer and be bringing that pizza home!

A pizza place is only as good as their last pie. My last pie here was not great at all. I was introduced to this place by their ad in Hometown Magazine. I love their Sicilian pie, and buy it whenever I have a coupon. One day they had an amazing looking pie on display. I ordered it, and it was even better than it looked. Unfortunately, the owners seem to have amnesia, and have not been able to reproduce this little piece of heaven! Owners, if you are reading this, and you think you can make that awesome Sicilian pie with extra cheese topped (after cooking) with fresh brushetta (cold), message me and I will be in to give it one more try. Another thing; you used to poke air holes into the dough before putting the sauce and cheese on. I think that made a big difference. If you could consistantly make pies like the one I ate that day, you would be constantly busy.

Had lunch here on Friday (3/30/12). Ordered a Meatball Parm & Coke. The service was great. The sandwich was delicious. I am going back and can't wait to bring the wife to dinner. Thanks for a great meal!

Service was ok, but there was only 1 server. Obviously because nobody was in there. The pizza was ok, but it was way too cheesy. I would probably eat there again(maybe). The place would be ok if you got a takeout for a quick dinner.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
